Mom identifies teen seriously hurt in deadly North Carolina crash; 16-year-old charged with DWI

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. (WNCN) — The mother of a teen driver injured in a deadly wreck in Holly Springs on Sunday has identified her son, who is facing multiple surgeries.

Kathleen Russell told CBS 17 her son, 19-year-old Brandon Russell, was behind the wheel of the 2008 Honda Civic involved in the multi-vehicle wreck.
