As federal funding for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits runs out during the ongoing government shutdown, one local bakery is stepping up to make sure no one in the community goes hungry.
Guglhupf Bakery, which has locations in Durham and Chapel Hill, is giving away free loaves of bread to anyone who shows their EBT card during business hours.
