RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA — A North Carolina teacher was arrested after students reported her acting erratically during class, prompting a police response that revealed she was allegedly under the influence of narcotics while on school grounds.
According to police reports, officers were called to the school after a concerned student informed staff that their teacher appeared to be “off” and was behaving unusually during lessons. When police arrived, they immediately observed signs of impairment.
K9 Unit Alerts to Possible Drugs
Officers questioned the teacher, who admitted to having “some things” in her purse. A K9 unit was brought in to inspect the area, and the dog alerted to the presence of narcotics. Police subsequently searched the purse and discovered substances consistent with illegal drugs.
