Raleigh mother charged with ‘aggressively’ shaking 3-month-old infant, causing brain and eye bleeding: Warrant

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A Raleigh woman was arrested Monday on a felony charge after her infant child suffered internal bleeding over the summer, a warrant shows.

According to a warrant filed by the Raleigh Police Department, 34-year-old Sara Ivy Austin is accused of “aggressively” shaking her three-month-old child, causing brain and eye bleeding.
