DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A significant development could replace an iconic mall near downtown Durham that’s been closed since the pandemic.
The City of Durham recently received a site plan from a new developer for the former Northgate Mall at 1058 West Club Boulevard.
Renamed “Ellerbe Square”, the project would demolish most of the existing mall to construct six commercial buildings consisting of retail and restaurant uses.
