Raleigh, NC – Residents across Wake County can pick up free Thanksgiving dinner baskets this Saturday as a community distribution event returns ahead of the holiday. The giveaway, hosted on Raleigh’s south side, aims to help families prepare for the holiday without the cost burden as food prices remain elevated.
According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, the event will take place Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1500 Garner Road in Raleigh, in partnership with MMCC-Raleigh and Walmart. Deputies say the giveaway will provide turkeys, side items, and non-perishable staples while supplies last.
