The driver who was reportedly shot in the head on US-64 last week died from his injuries, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim was identified as Derick Godwin, 55.
Authorities have identified the suspected shooter and confirmed there is no ongoing search related to the investigation. Their identity has not been released yet…
