4-year-old boy found injured in middle of road in North Carolina

ANGIER, N.C. (WNCN) — Deputies in Harnett County are investigating after a young child was found injured along a road Sunday afternoon, officials said.

The incident involved a 4-year-old boy just before 2:45 p.m. Sunday along Harnett Central Road, about 5 miles southwest of Angier, according to authorities.

The boy was found in the middle of the roadway. He suffered “superficial injuries” in the incident and was taken to WakeMed in Raleigh for treatment, Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats said…
