‘Deliberate noncompliance’: Hedingham accused mass shooter won’t hand over mental health records: Court docs

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — In a motion filed on Tuesday, attorneys involved in a civil lawsuit against accused Hedingham neighborhood mass shooter Austin Thompson say he won’t hand over court-ordered psychiatric records and other documents.

Claudia Barcelo and Stephen Mickelsen, attorneys representing survivors and estates of five people killed that day on Oct. 13, 2022, say Thompson, who was 15 years old at the time of the shooting, refuses to turn over discovery in the civil suit.

Some of the documents in his criminal trial are protected by court order, but attorneys in the civil case say they haven’t received what the judge ordered Thompson’s legal team to release…
