Raleigh Civil War-era home once occupied by House of Art up for sale

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — You could own a piece of Raleigh history.

Nearly one year after being destroyed by suspected arson, the Civil War-era home that most recently housed the popular House of Art is up for sale. It’s located across the street from Moore Square in downtown Raleigh.

“This building is iconic to Raleigh,” said property owner Risa Poniros. “House of Art was a place for the community of all sorts, so diverse. They had quite a following, and it’s really missed because they really made a difference in the area.”…
