On Monday, December 8, 2025, the Town of Wake Forest, North Carolina, announced changes to operations due to expected wintry weather. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Wake County until noon on Tuesday, December 9. Town officials are preparing for up to half an inch of snow and possible service disruptions.
The Wake Forest Town Hall at 301 S. Brooks St. will stay open and follow its regular schedule today. The town will announce any changes for Tuesday by 7 a.m. tomorrow. Several community facilities, including the Joyner Park Community Center, Flaherty Park Community Center, Wake Forest Community House, Alston-Massenburg Center, Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, and the Wake Forest Center for Active Aging, will close at noon today. Updates on their Tuesday schedules will also be shared by 7 a.m.
All Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) programs for Monday are canceled. This includes all youth basketball games, which will be rescheduled.
