Gov. Stein rescinds Medicaid cuts, calls on GA to reach agreement

RALEIGH, N.C. — Gov. Josh Stein is reversing a decision to cut Medicaid in North Carolina.

The governor has said it was a necessary move as the state is still without a budget, blaming the Department of Health and Human Services cuts on inaction from the General Assembly.

For months, Stein has asked members of the General Assembly to come together and reach a budget agreement and for months it hasn’t happened…
