Raleigh, NC – The mild December air won’t last much longer. By the weekend, an Arctic front is expected to sweep across central North Carolina, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures, biting winds, and even a brief chance of wintry precipitation Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, southerly breezes will shift north by late Saturday as the cold front advances, pulling frigid air down from the Midwest.
