A stretch of Western Boulevard is about to get a temporary makeover that’ll likely detour and delay your usual route. The N.C. Department of Transportation says contractors will close westbound lanes and occasionally slow eastbound traffic from midnight to 5 a.m. between Dec. 15 and Dec. 18.
