3,000 Christmas gifts distributed to children across Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Raleigh Dream Center and Raleigh Antioch Church teamed up Saturday morning to distribute toys and groceries to families at Orchard Pointe Apartments in Raleigh. The effort was part of a Christmas Adopt-A-Block Toy Giveaway happening across the city.

The first Adopt-A-Block outreach was started in early 2015. Raleigh Dream Center partners with local churches and businesses to provide community outreach to Wake County food-insecure hot spots.

“There are nice people around I want to give and I like to be around them,” said John Pscilio. He took time out of his Saturday morning to volunteer and to share the story of Christmas with residents of the apartment community…
