Raleigh Offers Christmas Tree Recycling Program, A Green Twist to Post-Holiday Cleanup

Raleigh officials announced the start of the city’s post-holiday Christmas tree recycling program, encouraging residents to dispose of trees through designated collection and recycling options. As reported by the City of Raleigh’s official website, from December 26 to February 1, curbside pickup will transport your now desolate festive trees to the Raleigh Yard Waste Center, where they’ll be repurposed into mulch.

Residents disposing of Christmas trees are required to place them at the curb on their designated yard waste collection day. Trees must be free of all lights, ornaments, and decorations before being set out for recycling. Residents are also advised that Christmas trees should be placed directly on the ground and not inside trash, recycling, or yard waste bins.
