2nd arrest made in ongoing Duke Energy fraud case, authorities say

A second arrest was made in the ongoing Duke Energy fraud case.

Following a months-long investigation, Wake County Sheriff’s Office identified a woman allegedly responsible for stealing victims’ identities to assist in creating fraudulent Duke Energy accounts.

On Thursday, investigators arrested arrested Dazmyn Person, 39, and charged her with nine counts of exploitation of an older adult or disabled adult from a position of trust, nine counts of identity theft, one count of felony conspiracy, and one count of trafficking stolen identities…
