New York has the world-famous Times Square ball drop. Revelers in Raleigh, the City of Oaks, drop a giant acorn. And in Nash County, the Braswell Family Farms New Year’s Eve Egg Drop is cementing itself as a cherished local tradition to usher in the start of a new year.
The third annual Egg Drop is planned from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at The Nashville Junction, 723 S. Barnes St.
“Join us for a family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration packed with live music, food trucks, free kids’ activities and our signature Egg Drop plus fireworks at 8 p.m. as we celebrate our very own ‘midnight’ a little earlier,” Braswell Family Farms explained on its Facebook page. “Perfect for families with little ones! Bring your people, bundle up and get ready for an unforgettable night.”…
