North Carolina’s capital, Raleigh, experienced the biggest annual increase in housing inventory in the entire nation last year, according to data by Homes.com updates as of July 2025.
The city, which has proven to be a magnet for young professionals, families, and retirees in recent years due to its strong economy and relative affordability, reported a 54.5 percent jump in housing inventory last summer compared to a year earlier.
