Police believe accused killer of Raleigh teacher was sleeping in Fletcher Park

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — It has now been four days since a Ravenscroft teacher was killed. Investigators say the accused killer broke into her home and assaulted her while she was on the phone with 911.

Investigators have confirmed that the accused killer, Ryan Camacho, broke into teacher Zoe Welsh’s home through forced entry. According to police dispatch audio from that morning, he broke in through a window.

“I was like woah, that’s crazy like what do you mean,” former Ravenscroft student, Michael Nicholson said.
