Argument between family members escalates to late-night shooting in Fuquay-Varina, police say

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN) — A late-night shooting in Wake County on Thursday resulted in a man being arrested and another sent to the hospital, police said on Friday.

According to the Fuquay-Varina Police Department, officers responded around 9:32 p.m. to reports of a possible shooting in the area of 600 Dogwood Street. When officers arrived on scene, police said they found a man who had been shot in the chest lying on the roadway.

“Officers immediately rendered aid until Wake EMS arrived and transported the individual to a local hospital for further treatment,” the Fuquay-Varina Police Department said in a Friday news release…
