Raleigh Police Department Honors Officers with BBQ Luncheon on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

The Raleigh Police Department (RPD) has recently celebrated Law Enforcement Appreciation Day through a series of luncheons dedicated to its officers and professional staff, acknowledging their continuous efforts in serving the Raleigh community. In the spirit of gratitude, members of the department were treated to meals from Parker’s BBQ throughout the week, as captured by the official announcement.

Gathered to savor the local BBQ offerings, officers and staff enjoyed a moment of reprieve during their demanding shifts. Chief Rico Boyce, bearing witness to the gathering, expressed his admiration for his colleagues, “I feel very honored to work alongside the men and women here at the Raleigh Police Department,” he praised, according to a statement obtained by the city’s news release. In his remarks, Boyce continued, “This is just a small token of my appreciation for the work that they do every day. I’m very appreciative of what they do, and I am appreciative of their dedication, professionalism in going out and protecting this community.”
