RALEIGH, NC — David and Sarah Danevich have purchased Bongiorno & Son Italian Market and Deli and are operating the shop at 8450 Honeycutt Rd #106, Raleigh, NC 27615. The business is currently open, and the Daneviches plan to relaunch under the name Mina’s Italian Market in the coming months, Danevich told Business Debut.
What to Expect
The Daneviches said customers should expect the same Italian market and deli setup that Bongiorno & Son is known for, including a retail market stocked with specialty goods and a deli counter serving made-to-order sandwiches. The business also offers catering. Danevich said his family were longtime customers before buying the shop, and the goal is to keep the experience consistent for the community.
Menu and Vision
The market includes imported items sourced through Northeast distributors with products made in Italy, along with in-house prepared offerings such as fresh pasta and take-home meals, Danevich told Business Debut.
The deli focuses on sandwiches made in-house with a mix of local sourcing, including bread from a North Carolina vendor. “No significant changes,” Danevich told Business Debut, adding, “In short nothing will change.”
Opening Timeline
Bongiorno & Son is open now under the Daneviches’ ownership. The team plans to rebrand and relaunch as Mina’s Italian Market within the next several months, with an exact date to be announced, Danevich told Business Debut.
