Florida man charged with breaking into cars, stealing cards in 9 NC counties, including Wake and Moore: Records

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN) — A Florida man is facing felony charges in nine North Carolina counties in connection with vehicle break-ins and financial card thefts that date back to last year, court records show.

According to court records, 27-year-old Larry D. Ware III of Hollywood, Fl. was identified as the suspect in break-ins and thefts in Wake and Moore counties. Ware is also charged in Alamance, Brunswick, Guilford, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Rockingham, and Watauga counties. He was arrested by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 29.

The investigation into Ware in Moore County began in February 2025 after two vehicles were broken into at the Legacy Lakes neighborhood in Aberdeen. Credit cards were stolen from the vehicles, which were later used at stores in Southern Pines, according to the Aberdeen Police Department…
