RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Thousands of Verizon customers across the Triangle had no cell service after a widespread outage sent phones into “SOS” mode, cutting off calls, texts, and data.
According to DownDetector, reports of Verizon service problems spiked around 1:45 p.m., with more than 180,000 customers across the country reporting similar issues.
