Raleigh Observes MLK Day With City Offices Closed and Changes to Services

In recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the City of Raleigh is shutting down its administrative offices on Monday, but citizens can rest assured that emergency services will still be a phone call away, with police, fire, and rescue services being available at the push of the 9-1-1 buttons.

While the offices take a pause to honor the legacy of Dr. King, those with Monday pick-ups can breathe easy trash and recycling services will plow ahead unaffected; however, those hoping to dispose of yard waste will have to wait as the Yard Waste Center takes a brief hiatus, closing its doors tomorrow through Monday, only to spring back into action Tuesday, as per the City of Raleigh’s announcement…
