‘TikTok trickster’ gets $500,000 bond, was turned in by Cary woman

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man whom Alabama police called a “serial con artist” was turned in by a woman he was living with in Cary, prosecutors say.

Brenton Fillers, 56, whom police referred to as the “TikTok trickster,” was wanted in Alabama for fugitive felony larceny. He was arrested in Cary on Wednesday.

Fillers appeared in court on Friday, where a judge raised his bond from $15,000 to $500,000…
