The group of monks walking for peace are expected to reach Raleigh in a couple of days, which could lead to road closures as a major winter storm approaches the Triangle.
As of Thursday, Jan. 22 morning, models were trending toward a storm with less snow accumulation and more icing (freezing rain) potential around the time the monks are expected to arrive in Raleigh, The News & Observer previously reported.
