The City of Durham and Durham County Government will open a mass emergency shelter in response to the approaching winter storm. Northern High School will serve as the shelter location.
According to the City of Durham’s Facebook post, the shelter is located at 4622 N. Roxboro Street in the main gym of Northern High School and will open at 10:00 a.m. today. Services available include cots, meals, showers, phone charging, transportation assistance, and pet kennels.
