JOHNSTON COUNTY — Authorities arrested a Middlesex man following a narcotics investigation that led to the seizure of crack and powder cocaine, along with thousands of dollars in cash.
On January 22, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Narcotics Division, with support from the JCSO S.T.A.R. Team, executed a search warrant at a residence off Les Belle Drive, Middlesex, just inside Johnston County . The operation was part of an ongoing undercover investigation into 38 year-old Carmen Bueno.
During the investigation, detectives said they conducted multiple undercover purchases of crack cocaine. When deputies executed the search warrant, Bueno reportedly attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended with the assistance of a JCSO K9 Unit. He was arrested on multiple felony charges.
Deputies seized approximately 38.6 grams of crack cocaine, 11.9 grams of powder cocaine, and $1,718 in U.S. currency at the Middlesex residence. A follow-up search at a property used by Bueno in Wake County resulted in the seizure of an additional $4,040…
