Holly Springs, NC, Feb. 23, 2026 — Wake County’s housing market cooled slightly in January, but home values in South Wake remained relatively strong — particularly in Holly Springs, where higher-priced sales continued to lift local averages.
Countywide, the median real estate price dipped modestly to $450,000, down $5,000 from December, as transaction volume slowed following the typical year-end surge. Total deed activity fell from 3,104 in December to 2,122 transactions in January, signaling a seasonal slowdown rather than a structural shift.
