RALEIGH, N.C. – The Gallaudet University softball team wrapped up play at the 19th Annual Triangle Collegiate Softball Classic here Saturday at the Walnut Creek Softball Complex. GU fell to Meredith College, 15-4, and Randolph-Macon College, 17-0, as both games ended in five innings.
In the first game, Meredith (4-5) built a 10-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back as the Avenging Angels recorded 10 team hits and three home runs.
For Gallaudet (0-5), sophomore third baseman Kinsley Bond (Beulaville, N.C.) blasted a solo home run to center field in the top of the fourth inning in her home state of North Carolina, while first-year first baseman Mattea King (Capitol Heights, Md.) led the team with two RBI…
