Today sees a few scattered showers roll in. These will give us an on-and-off pattern for the day, so an umbrella would not be a bad thing to bring along, even if it may not be actively raining near you. Highs today will reach the low 70s. Tonight, the rain will continue, becoming more widespread as our front approaches from the west. Lows will stay in the upper 50s.
Tomorrow, our front arrives. This will start us off with showers right off the bat for the morning commute. Gusty showers and storms will arrive in the early afternoon. These storms will be on the strong side, so tree damage is likely, especially toward the west. Southerly flow from the cold front will bring highs to the upper 70s in the afternoon. Widespread showers will take us into the night.
Thursday morning starts with wintry mix as cold air moves in behind the front. Slick conditions can be expected on the morning commute. Over the course of the day, we will see this clear out nicely as high pressure gradually regains control. Temperatures will be much cooler, rising from the mid 30s to the mid 40s.
Friday brings the sun back out! High pressure will still be the dominating force, keeping conditions calm with partly cloudy skies. Ample sunshine will drive temperatures from the low 30s to the upper 50s.
Ramp season begins!
Looking ahead, our dry stretch comes to an end as the weekend closes out, starting next week with some showers and temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
