Highway Patrol: Teen Running Across Buffalo Road Struck By Pickup Truck

CLAYTON, N.C. -A 15-year-old was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after being struck by a pickup truck.

According to the State Highway Patrol, troopers responded around 5:21 p.m. to an injury accident involving a pedestrian on Buffalo Road near NC 42 East.

Investigators said a 15-year-old male was running across Buffalo Road when he was struck by a southbound Ford F-150.

The truck was driven by a 49 year-old Selma woman. Troopers said the driver was slowing for a red light and traveling below the posted speed limit when the collision occurred…
