A Cary-based video game developer plans to lay off over 100 employees and scale back operations, the studio announced this week.
Red Storm Entertainment, co-founded by novelist Tom Clancy, whose works include the 1996 thriller “Red Storm Rising,” says the layoffs were caused by “economic forces” and that it plans to stop creating games, although some employees will remain for engine development.
