On February 23, 2026, three-alarms were struck at an apartment fire in Morrisville in western Wake County. The fire was reported about 1815 hours at Camden Westwood Apartments on Summit Ridge Loop. Arriving units found heavy fire on all three floors of the 30-unit building. Multiple rescues were made by firefighters, who then transitioned to fire attack. In addition to handlines, Morrisville Engine 21 flowed its deck gun, and three ladders operated aerial streams: Cary Ladder 1, Cary Ladder 5, and Morrisville Ladder 22.
