Shot Fired On Raleigh Bus As Police Hunt Four Who Ran

A late-morning ride on a GoRaleigh bus turned tense Friday when a shot was fired near St. Giles Street and Deep Hollow Drive, sending riders into a panic but leaving no one physically hurt, according to city officials. Passengers were rattled, the bus was quickly secured and officers moved in to search the area. Police said several people boarded the bus, confronted a passenger and then ran off after a single shot was fired.

Raleigh police told reporters the shooting happened at about 11:45 a.m. and that investigators found evidence aboard the bus but no victims. Officers are actively searching for four people who ran from the scene, as reported by WRAL. The department has not released suspect descriptions and said detectives are following leads.
