Greenwell Sets School Record in 1500m as Ohio Track and Field Concludes Friday at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Ohio women’s track & field team concluded its first day of competition at the Raleigh Relays on Friday (March 27) at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility on the campus of NC State. The day was highlighted by a school record performance in the Women’s 1500m by junior Ellie Greenwell.

An evening of events was highlighted by a school record performance in the women’s 1500m by Greenwell (Park Hills, Ky.) with a time of 4:23.86, placing 46th in the event. Sophomore Kaitlyn Stewart (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) and senior Sara Doughman (South Lebanon, Ohio) also set personal bests in the 1500m, with Steward finishing in 4:29.98 and Doughman in 4:32.58.

Earlier in the day, the Bobcats got the Raleigh Relays started with athletes participating in the women’s 100m and 100m hurdles. Freshman Zoey Caldwell posted a time of 14.88 in the hurdles, placing 56th among all participants. In the 100m, junior Arissa Leo (Washington, D.C.) led the Bobcats with a personal best of 12.10…
