💚 Wake County Expands Behavioral Health and Addiction Support

Wake County is working with community partners to strengthen local behavioral health services and make care easier to find. The county’s initiatives include:

  • Wake Network of Care – an online directory of every behavioral health provider in the county.
  • Drug Overdose Prevention Coalition – quarterly meetings focused on education, Naloxone access, and recovery support.
  • Mental Health First Aid – training for residents to recognize and respond to mental health or substance use issues.
  • Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) – a 40‑hour course for first responders to better handle behavioral health emergencies.
