Quiet Clinton Block Erupts As Triple Shooting Sends 3 To Raleigh Trauma Center

A Clinton neighborhood was thrown into chaos early Monday afternoon when gunfire erupted at a home on Eastover Terrace, leaving three people shot and later airlifted to Raleigh for emergency treatment.

Clinton police say officers were called to the house around 12:45 p.m. and arrived to find three people suffering from gunshot wounds. All three victims were taken first to Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, then flown to WakeMed in Raleigh for more advanced trauma care. The motive for the shooting has not been determined, and police have not announced any arrests.

Neighbors told reporters they heard multiple shots, then rushed outside to help before first responders arrived.
