Nash deputies capture 2 Enfield murder suspects

ROCKY MOUNT — Authorities say two men accused in a fatal Enfield shooting led Nash County sheriff’s deputies on a 100 mph chase last week before wrecking their car and trying to run away.

Deputies found 22-year-old Clarence Dominique Atkins of Riverbrooke Drive in Raleigh hiding under a mobile home after Atkins crashed a Kia Soul near the intersection of Goldrock and Homestead roads in Rocky Mount, Deputy Elizabeth Frisbee of the Nash County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. A K-9 found Atkins’ passenger, 20-year-old Marion Randolph Hodge III of Cordele, Georgia, hiding in the attic of an abandoned home.
