Witness sensed crowd’s ‘vibes’ before 6 stabbed in downtown Raleigh brawl, man arrested; 20 involved, bystanders say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A Raleigh man said he noticed something about a crowd’s “vibes” minutes before the group was involved in a brawl that left six people with stab wounds along a downtown sidewalk early Saturday morning.

Witness reports said there were about 20 people involved in the Raleigh brawl that spiraled into stabbings that Raleigh police said happened around 12:15 a.m. Saturday along the 400 block of Fayetteville Street.

The incident involved a dispute along the sidewalk that turned into a large fight between a man and a group — leading to the stabbings of various men and women, according to the Raleigh Police Department…
