After three seasons at North Carolina, Indya Nivar is set to fulfill her lifelong dream of playing in the WNBA. The Apex, North Carolina native was selected by the Atlanta Dream with the No. 28 overall pick in the second round of this year’s draft.
Nivar becomes the first Tar Heel to be drafted since Stephanie Watts back in 2021. She becomes just the third UNC women’s basketball player to be selected over the past decade, as Paris Key broke the previous seven-year drought with her selection back in 2019…
