Former Raleigh officer fired, charged following alleged domestic assault

A former Raleigh police officer was arrested and charged in connection to an off-duty incident, according to authorities.

The Raleigh Police Department said Ryan Greathouse is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend on April 12 at a home in the 6300 block of Lakecrest Drive in Raleigh. He was placed on administrative leave while the investigation was underway.

On Friday, Greathouse was fired from the Raleigh Police Department. After consulting with the Wake County District Attorney’s Office, he was charged with one count of simple assault, assault on a female, misdemeanor domestic violence and false imprisonment…
