Stein announces appointments to state boards, commissions

RALEIGH — Gov. Josh Stein on Friday announced several appointments to state boards and commissions.

Stein named Shamyla Lando of Wake County as an at-large member of the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina. Lando is a technology leader and two-time Triangle CIO Orbie Award finalist with more than two decades of experience in enterprise digital health care transformation and technology operations.

He also appointed Dr. Surah Grumet of Wake County to the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy as a physician nominated by an association after consultation with the Medical Society. Grumet is a practicing physician who has developed new programs and practices in the health care industry.
