Officials with the City of Raleigh and Omni Hotel executives announced on Tuesday the 29-story hotel is set to be completed in late 2028. The Omni Hotel is one of three major development projects for the Raleigh Convention and Performing Arts Complex expansion. The $360 million project will be the third Omni Hotel in North Carolina. Denny Edwards, the CEO for the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the hotel is an important investment.
“This new 600-room hotel will put us in a position to not only attract larger conventions, but to also layer conventions in the convention center simultaneously, which will generate additional economic impact for the county and add more vibrancy to the downtown area,” he said, during a press conference Tuesday.
The Omni Hotel will feature:
- The first-ever Raleigh-based Peter Millar coffee shop
- North Carolina’s first Bob’s Steak and Chop House
- Fitness center
- Sports bar featuring a golf simulator
Omni Hotels and Resorts Chief Commercial Officer, Jeff Doane, said the hotel will help Raleigh attract larger events, which will allow Raleigh to grow as a destination.
