ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) — Authorities are investigating a late-night mass shooting that left one person dead and several others injured in Wake County on Wednesday, deputies said.
According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 10:40 p.m. to a reported shooting at the intersection of Mack Todd Road and West Barbee Street near Zebulon.
When they arrived, deputies found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

A third victim, also a man, was found with an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts, the sheriff’s office said.
