RENO, NV (May 24) — Big weekend with one of the largest car shows of the year. Helping the turn outs was great weather.
• The Reno Bike Community got the weekend started with their Friday evening ride. The turn out was lighter than normal probably due to the start of the holiday weekend.
• The biggest event of the weekend was the annual Summer Salute presented by the Nevada Car Coalition.
When asked about the event Rory Planeta, from the Nevada Car Coalition said, “ It’s a beautiful day, we’ve got more going on than last year. A few less cars but not many, as we didn’t allow same day registration this year. Pre-registered only and we have 443 registered vehicles, so its a good day. We’ll be back Saturday before Memorial Day next year.”
There was a huge area at Rancho San Rafael full of all types of cars and trucks. In addition man spectators were on hand and they filled most of the parking areas…
