CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) – An engineering teacher at Carson High School is being recognized. Kirstin Kolstad is a recipient of the 2025–2026 Teacher Excellence Award from the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association. The award recognizes outstanding technology and engineering educators from across the United States and internationally.
Kolstad teaches engineering courses for students in grades 9–12 at Carson High School. Her classes emphasize hands-on learning, giving students opportunities to design, build and solve real-world problems while exploring potential careers in engineering and related technical fields.
