Metcalf Builders Completes Three Housing and Historic Renovation Projects in Downtown Reno

Metcalf Builders announced today the completion of three projects that are contributing to the continued revitalization of downtown Reno: One 18 West Apartments; Hi-Way 40; and Line Drive Apartments. Together, the developments add more than 130 new housing units to Reno’s urban core while preserving historic buildings and expanding affordable housing opportunities.

Situated in the heart of downtown, One 18 West Apartments transformed a more than century-old building into modern residential housing while preserving an important piece of Reno’s history. Originally constructed during the Comstock Era and once serving as a boarding house for workers, the renovated property now offers 86 residential units, including 47 studios and 39 one-bedroom apartments, along with amenities such as a fitness center and future retail space.

Another historic property, Hi-Way 40, has been revitalized through a significant renovation effort that reimagines the site as permanent supportive housing. Through a partnership with Volunteers of America, the redevelopment brings together public and private partners to create long-term housing stability and expanded opportunities for individuals in need within the Reno community, helping address critical housing needs in the region…
